I was truly looking forward to reading this book by this new author Cole Saint Jaimes. When I read the synopsis it had pulled me in and I couldn't wait to read this book.
This is the story of Essie Gray who hasn't had the best life growing up, but with her brother Vaughan it was okay as long as they had each other. Then you've got Aiden Callahan who came from money, but wanted nothing to do with it. He chose to live a normal life away from his family. These two where broke in there own way and dealing with it the way they only knew how to. Essie is out for revenge after her brother is killed by the Callahan family. She will do anything to make them pay for what happen. Aiden didn't want this life, but had no choice in the matter after his family is killed.
This storyline will keep you engaged from the first page till the end of the first book. Yes, it does have a cliffhanger at the end. You'll get some drama, some sexy time and different POV in this book. I can say that this book was actually really good, I wish it was a little longer. Sometimes total opposites are really good for each other, even if they have motive for being with that person.
"I propose a compromise. I propose that I go home with you tonight, on the proviso that when we fuck, we are equals. No one person is dominant over the other."
Cole Saint Jaimes has written his first book, I can say that I'll be reading more book from him in the future. It's so refreshing to read a book by a new author and to feel the characters while, I am reading this book. If you are deciding if you want to read this book do it. I promise you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
